Hardware setup - Blocal2018

An internet connection.
A device to access the internet (a PC/Laptop, a tablet or even a smart-phone).
Optional: a scanning device (ie a QR-code reader, bar-code scanner or NFC tag reader).
All in one: B Local branded NFC compatible vodafone smartphone which reads the cards and navigates to the B Local scan page in a split second. This is the most economical, fastest and user friendly option.

Open a web-browser and surf to https://scan.blocalcard.com/?scan
Bookmark this page or make it the default home-page for your browser, so that you can access it easily when required
Enter your B Local Partner email you will be prompted to generate a new password for the app via email if it is your first time accessing the system
Now that you are securely logged into the web-app you are ready to start scanning/entering member cards for the day – your session should last 8 hours without requiring you to login again

We suggest having a dedicated tablet to run your B Local system – but this is by no means a requirement.
The tablet we suggest is a Google Nexus 10 – which includes the ability to tap/read NFC enabled membership cards.
The tablet can be protected and displayed on your retail counter by using a bracket – we suggest a SpacePole X Frame bracket for this purpose.
